MyShare is a bill splitter for the moment after a meal, when the receipt arrives and nobody wants to be the one holding it. You photograph the receipt, the items are read off it, you choose how to divide them, and you send a link. Your friends open the link in a browser and tick what they had.

The one decision everything else follows from

Your friends never have to install anything or create an account. A bill splitter that asks four people to sign up before they can say what they ate is not solving the problem, it is adding to it.

Who makes it

MyShare is built by Parallel Systems, a two-person studio. It started because splitting bills in Beirut is genuinely harder than the apps assume — receipts routinely print two currencies, the official exchange rate is not the rate anyone paid, and the maths that works in London falls apart on a Lebanese receipt. Most of the awkward cases the app handles are ones we ran into ourselves.

How it works

Photograph the receipt. The items and prices are extracted for you, so you are correcting a list rather than typing one.
Or type it in. Always available, always free, and it does not need a connection to anything.
Split it. Evenly, or per item — including items shared between several people.
Share a link. Friends open it in any browser and tick their own items. No app, no account.
Convert currencies at the rate you were actually charged, not the official one.

What it costs

Reading a receipt from a photograph costs us money on every scan, so scanning is metered: a set of free scans to begin with, then a smaller allowance each month. You can earn another scan by watching a short video, or subscribe to remove the limits.

Typing a receipt in by hand is always free and always available, including when you have no scans left. Opening a bill somebody shared with you is free forever and always will be — it is the part that has to work for people who never installed anything.

Your data

There is no account in the ordinary flow and no sign-in screen, except at the single moment somebody chooses to subscribe. We do not sell data, and we do not use your receipts to advertise to you.

The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is stored and why, and you can delete your data from inside the app at any time.
